Halfway there!

I'm halfway there to raising enough money to be able to attend college in the fall! $4,500 away! Thank-you so much to everyone for your support and helping me reach my dream!

Send me to college!

My name is Robbie Alexander, I grew up an ordinary kid, played little league, got good grades, and hung out with friends. Everything was going good, until the recent recession. My parents lost almost everything they had, and my college dreams were thrown in the dust. We applied for scholarships and financial aid, but were somehow turned down. Apparently my parents were still "in too high of an income bracket" for me to receive any aid. In reality, they're both now unemployed, and I have no way of paying for college in the fall.

I'm committed to Oregon State, but if i can't come up with $7,500 soon, I'll be forced to drop out. Please help me achieve my dreams and help send me to college! Please spread the word to your friends!

If by some miracle this works, I'll be forever grateful to everyone who helped me out.

Why I'm worthy of your help

I'm your average kid, who happened to be in a household that was struck especially hard by the recession. My parents have worked their entire lives, my Dad for an architect firm, and my Mom as an accountant. Everything had been stable until about a years ago, when they were both let go within 6 months of each other.

Coincidentally, this was right as college was on the horizon and I was looking to pursue my goal of gaining a business administration diploma. I decided on Oregon State University, and am currently committed to start in the fall of this year. However, with my parents being out of work, they're unable to pay for my tuition and other college expenses. I did some calculations, and I'm about $7,500 from being able to attend college in the fall. We applied for financial aid, but were turned away because my "parents' income was too high to receive aid". In reality, they're both now unemployed, and have next to zero income.

I'm willing to do anything to be able to continue my dream next year, and am graciously asking for your help. Please spread the word to your friends!

I'm faced with the realistic possibility that I may have to drop out of college before it even begins, and would be truly gracious if I'm able to make this work.

Thank-you for your support!
